The Sarah McLachlan Foundation was the charity of choice for FMA Fashion week, with funds being raised from ticket sales, auctions and restaurant partnerships.

Sarah McLachlan Foundation – music school for inner city youth

Sparked by the influence of music in her life, Sarah McLachlan dreamed for a long‐time of opening a free music school for inner city youth. Her dream first took shape with the creation of The Sarah McLachlan Foundation in 1999, and in 2002 it became a reality with the opening the Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach ‐ An Arts Umbrella Project. It is a free music program that provides instruction in guitar, piano, percussion and choir. The program also supports a network that helps youth develop a life‐long love of music
